Thu 2-Apr-09 (kids last school day, sleepovers, haircut, blood test)

I dropped the kids off for their last school day before two weeks of holidays, as each would be going to different friend’s houses for sleepovers. This freed us up as we had a pre-Pesach (Passover) radio session on Friday morning.

Maria walked to Kfar Shmaryahu with Eileen and had her hair cut (see photo evidence below) by Daniel.

It pained him to do so, but the result was worth it. It looked much better than it had. I picked them up as Maria couldn’t do the walk home. We hung out at the local café and Maria had what is one of her favourite hot chocolates in Israel.

Maria had a blood test at the hospital around midday and after her radiotherapy we were able to get the blood results, which showed that so far she is responding well to the chemo. No side effects as yet. However, lack of sleep and ongoing head pain continue to be an issue.

We had an early dinner at ‘The Diner’, where they are accustomed to us asking to turn the music down.
