Many have been curious to know whether what the surgeons had removed in surgery was in fact mostly infection and perhaps the tumour itself had not progressed as much as seen on the MRI (as it is not possible for them to differentiate between the cancer and infection until they get to the site as was the case on Monday).
The histology showed a combination of infection and GBM (her cancer). While I cannot quantify the amount of GBM present, it was not insignificant.
