Cathy, a dear friend...no, not one of the many Cathy's/Kathy's from overseas...but a mum from the kids' school, looked after Ben and Gabi yesterday afternoon while I was at work. She had what appeared to be the start of an eye infection, which deteriorated overnight.
She presented to hospital casualty today and an examination revealed a severe infection that could lead to blindness in that eye. In an SMS during the day she wrote, "God knows better." She will be on hourly antibiotics around the clock and is required to attend follow-up visits tomorrow and Friday.
I'd be grateful for any prayers out there to join me.
