Sun 20-Dec-09 (Family day)

Maria had her second reasonable night's sleep in a row, which has been a real blessing. She has started using a new sleeping tablet, but we had to cut down to half a tablet last night as the first night was very interesting for both of us with me having to virtually carry her to the toilet on a couple of occasions as she was in a 'drunken' state.

We spent four-and-a-half hours in the city today to have quality family time. We bumped into Maria's Neurosurgeon and his children. It was nice to have a chat with him as we didn't see him at last Friday's appointment.

We did a lot of walking around the main shopping centre, so fortunately we had Maria in her wheelchair.

We were able to take the shopping opportunity to have the kids choose their beautiful "memory boxes", which was also very special.

We even had a family shot with 'Santa' as a special momento for this Christmas. I'll save that photo for our Christmas entry.

It was a lazy-ish afternoon, spending time together. It was touching to see Maria help the kids start to fill their 'boxes'.
